Karen Hendrickson, Director

Karen Hendrickson is serving in her seventh year on the WQI Board, and just completed a four years as VP House, during which she made arrangements with hotels for meeting space and meals for WQI meetings and workshops.  She has also served as a Web Goddess, helping to coordinate the “rebirth and retooling” of the WQI site. She is currently assisting with communications for WQI. Karen has been quilting for about 22 years and constantly dreams of a time when she will be able to devote more time to quilting. She is a member of the West Suburban Quilt Guild, where she produced the Guild’s newsletter for several years, served as co-chair of the 2004 and 2006 Quilt Shows. Karen owns an association management and meeting planning company, and volunteers as an infant nurturer in a neonatal intensive care unit. She is married to a wonderful man who supports her quilting and patiently waits in the car while she checks out quilt shops when they travel. Karen has two grown children and a 23+ year old cat who gets to sleep on quilts whenever she wants.
