My mom was a seamstress.  She made all my clothes, to my chagrin, when I was growing up.  She made everything from wedding gowns to snowmobile suits.  The last thing I thought I would do was sew!!!  But guess what, it didn’t skip this generation. 

I love scrapbooking, jewelry making, computers and crocheting.  I love all different kinds of sewing; heirloom sewing, machine embroidery, clothing construction and on the top of the list, QUILTING!!!  I want to try it all; from paper piecing to hand-appliqué to machine quilting to …  I’m involved in my local quilt guild, Star Point Quilters in Stevens Point, WI working on the website, quilt show and programs.  I am also a professional quilt appraiser and love every minute of it, http://nancykunstsmith.com/.  It gives me the opportunity to see some fabulous quilts.  Some day I would like to have a quilt entered in Paducah.  I think WQI is a wonderful group and like being a part of helping it get better and better.  Presently I am the email coordinator and one of the web goddesses.

I’m married and have 6 children, 2 boys and 4 girls, with 5 grandchildren and one on the way.  All my children are out of the house so we filled it with two dogs and didn’t experience empty nest syndrome; Maggie is a golden lab and Tillie is an Australian shepherd.
